Terms of Service for MacDrop

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the MacDrop software application ("MacDrop", "the Application") developed by Laurentiu Kotlacsik ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not install or use the Application.

2. Grant of License

We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and execute MacDrop on compatible Apple macOS computers for personal or commercial media production, backup, and ingest workflows.

3. Third-Party Services (Google Drive)

MacDrop provides direct integration with Google Drive via official Google APIs. When utilizing these integrations, you agree to comply with Google's applicable policies, including the Google Terms of Service and Google API Terms of Service.

You are solely responsible for managing your Google Drive storage capacity, account security, and ensuring you possess legal authorization to transfer and store all files you upload.

4. Data Integrity & Verification

MacDrop includes bit-perfect checksum calculation engines (such as xxHash64, MD5, and SHA-256) designed to detect transmission corruption. However, digital storage media and card readers are subject to physical hardware failures. You remain responsible for verifying critical media and maintaining secondary backups prior to formatting original camera media cards.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

MacDrop is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without express or implied warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the application will operate completely uninterrupted, bug-free, or error-free under all possible hardware configurations.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including data loss, hardware damage, or production downtime resulting from the use or inability to use MacDrop.
